    Head of Section



    The Defence Policy Section is composed of the officials (both military and civil servants) appointed by the Polish Ministry of Defence.


    The most important issues the section is dealing with include:


    • military transformation and development of defence capabilities (NRF, NATO command structure, missile defence, usability, cyber defence, stabilisation and reconstruction);
    • NATO defence planning process, in which national and Alliance defence planning activities are harmonised in order to provide forces and capabilities needed to undertake the Alliance's full spectrum of missions;
    • NATO-UE co-operation in the field of defence capability development (mainly within NATO-EU Capability Group);
    • defence co-operation between NATO and partner countries within the framework of Partnership for Peace, EAPC, NATO-Russia Council, NATO-Ukraine Commission and NATO-Georgia Commission;
    • armament and military technology co-operation;
    • NATO nuclear policy and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction;
    • NATO air defence policy.

    The Defence Policy Section closely co-operates with MFA and MOD departments, the General Staff divisions, the Polish Military Representation to the NATO and EU Military Committees as well as the National Military Representation at SHAPE.
